About Hogar CREA
Hogar CREA was established by the founder, Juan Jose on the 28th of May, 1968, in the Saint Just Ward Municipality. Since then, Hogar Crea, Inc. has focused on preventing substance and alcohol abuse, and offering therapeutic alternatives to recover and rehabilitate individuals from these addictions.
Hogar CREA currently operates one hundred and four facilities across the United States, Puerto Rico, South America, and Central America. Our services include recovery and rehabilitation services for alcohol and drug addiction to adults, within a residential environment.
The directors in the re-education homes are people who have been re-educated through this program. Thus, they themselves are a testimony of the effectiveness of this re-education program. It also makes the entire recovery and rehabilitation process much more effective. This is because a person who himself/herself used to struggle with addictions, would be able to better guide others in the same situation. It helps to build up a peer morality, allowing the directors to closely understand the individuals struggling against substance abuse.
At each of our residential facilities for re-education purposes, we offer a homely environment. We help the residents form a favorable character by exposing to various spiritual, emotional, moral and physical mechanisms.
Our residents perform all the chores at Home. These daily duties help in reconstructing their lives as they learn to take up individual as well as collective responsibilities.
